Install Theme #
Kindly follow the steps given below to install the theme
Please unzip the file (extract all files) from the theme package you downloaded from ThemeForest. If you encounter the error “zip does not contain a valid theme: missing template ‘layout/theme.liquid’” during installation, it indicates that you are attempting to upload an incorrect zip file.
Download theme package #
- Download theme package from Themeforest. https://themeforest.net/downloads
- Extract/Unzip all files from downloaded package.
- Find “theme-install-vx.x.x.zip” file. This is theme Default demo (Home 1) zip file.
Please install this file on your shopify store.(theme-install-vx.. refer theme name and version
Upload theme on your store #
Once you have the theme file ready, you can upload it to your shopify store.
- From your store admin, click to Online store -> Themes -> Add theme -> Click Upload zip
- In the Upload theme modal, click Add file and select the file theme-install-vx.x.x.zip
- Click on Upload file button
Please wait until the uploading process get finished. Then click Customize button to activate the theme and start theme set up on your store

Install Different Skins #
Once you finished installing theme Default demo, Do follow steps as explained below.
All you need to do is copy all data from json files from any one preset folder (demo you want to install) and paste it on same theme file on your store as explain below.
- Navigate to the “Demo Preset” folder included in the theme package.
- In the Preset folder, you can see a folder for all available home. Please open any home folder that you would like install.
- You can see different .json files; Open these file one by one -> copy data from file and paste this data on same theme file on your store (theme that you recently installed)
- From your Shopify store admin, go to Themes -> Find theme -> Actions -> Edit Code
- Search and open index.json file -> Select all file content and delete it. Next, paste preset folder file data into this file and click save( index.json file data from preset folder. see step 3)
- Search and open settings_data.json file -> Select all file content and delete it. Next, paste preset folder file data and click save ( settings_data.json file data from preset folder. see step 3)
- Follow the same steps for each JSON file located in the Preset folder
By Default your uploaded theme is unpublished. Another theme is active on your store. You can publish new theme when you are done with theme configuration and setup. Click on Publish button to publish new theme.
